Wahhabism has particular views on various topics apart from other religions and Islamic sects. One of the specific beliefs of this sect is differences in explaining issues related to leadership and the saints of God, which is based on the special foundations about the definition of heresy and its various manifestations which has been formed. Wahhabism with the rejection of cause and effect system has denied the grace of Imams as a medium and as a result consecration and resorting to Imams and wanting healing from them is heresy and visiting their graves is innovation. This article by showing the fundamental deviation of this sect in analyzing polytheism with emphasis on the views of Allameh Tabatabaei has criticized it and has reached to the conclusion that loose irrational ideas of Wahhabism has caused advocate scholars of this sect to present an incorrect definition of the manifestations of heresy and development in its scope. With reference to the opinions of Allameh Tabatabaei in Almizan can easily become aware of Wahhabism’s mistaken beliefs about instances and many other actions such as God’s blessing and invoking the prophets and saints and asking intercession from them and visit their graves and oath of God, deemed to be outside the scope of heresy.

There are differing views among Muslims on leadership and caliphate after the holy Prophet and different sects of Islam are oriented towards one of these two (either caliphate or leadership). This paper seeks to identify the most significant factors leading to the generation of the idea of caliphate in the mind of the people of Sunna, especially in Ghazali's views. To this aim, we hypothesized that the most important reason of the promotion of such idea is the attention to the realities of the political life ofthe early Islam and reference to the lifestyle of the caliphs, and then we tested this hypothesis. The people of Sunna, particularly Ghazali, have always been concerned with caliphate and have regarded it as a phenomenon taking place with the advent of Islam;they match their views with the idea of caliphateand specially with the conduct of the companions of the Prophet and assume the same duties and rights for caliphs as areassigned toand granted Imams. As a result, the people of Sunnabase their views onwhat actually happened in reality and so we may call them justifiers; the point deserving attention is that from their perspective, practice comes before theory and instead of relying on a prioritheories, they draw ona posterioriones.

Theory of leadership and guardianship is based upon Quranic verses and the traditions of the Prophet (PBUH) and the descendants of Imam Ali (PBUH); this theory can be understood and proved with an inner-religious attitude and it is a rational-epistemological necessity and guarantees the continuation of prophetic mission – which can be logically and clearly explained and defended with an outer-religious approach; this theory is also one of the requirements of ‘innate disposition’ and the inner truth of religious law. Therefore, the theory of leadership and guardianship is a sacred, primary and theologic theory rather than being conventional, secondary and jurisprudential. This theory has ideological, moral and spiritual aspects as well as dimensions related to legal rulings and jurisprudence and these are responsible for the interpretation of religion, defending religious law, performing God’s prescriptions, administering justice and ensuring mental and spiritual guidance; furthermore, leadership and guardianship complete the religion and the bounties of God and are the indication of the true Islam favored by God which is His promise and a divine order; the leader or guardian has the following real qualities: innocence, knowledge of religion, religious rulings, politics and spirituality and he should be appointed and have a high scientific rank. Relying on these, we can make a logical and historical critique of the competing theories like theories of electing, setting up a council, caliphate as political leadership and the lack of proof for tradition of the Imam and the leader. The present paper has attempted to investigate these from logical, historical and sociological perspectives.
